The Latest

I figured it was time for another mini update on me, a glimpse into my world.

It's been a so so week. Hopefully this weekend will be a bit better. Saturday I may be having a garage sale to clear out some of the clutter. A friend of mine will be moving in on Sunday, she's going to stay with me for a while, which will be nice. It's been kind of lonely around the house. I have known her for years and we get a long really well so I expect things to go smoothly. I'm getting someone to clean the house on Monday which will be nice. It needs some deep cleaning.

I'm also very excited that it's fall!!! The weather, the smells, the food, pumpkins... I can't wait to go to the pumpkin patch and piick out some pumpkins. I think my new roomie is going to go with which will be fun. I'm probably going to dig out all of the fall decor tonight and put it up this weekend. I also think I found Grace's Halloween costume, she wants to be Hannah Montana. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to take her to Boo at the Zoo again this year or not. She had fun last year but it was a bit crowded. Halloween is so much fun! I'm also very excited about Thanksgiving! I can't wait to make Thanksgiving dinner. I'm not sure who all is coming this year, but I expect quite a few people. I think a new found friend will be joining us, it will be her first Thanksgiving in Texas. That should be fun! I'm going to start looking for new recipes. I know I'm going to make too much food, as always. This is why I suggested to my roomie that we have Turkey Leftover Day. I sense I new tradition in the works!

Well, I think that's about all for now, not too much more to say. Love you all!

Vacating the House

Well, we've had to vacate the house. FUN! They were treating for fleas (because I'm paranoid) and we can't be in the house for 4 hours. That's a long time to have to be gone. Abbie is at the groomer, and we're at the office. Grace is watching a movie in the conference room and coloring and I'm trying to entertain myself on the internet. After a while you run out of things to do on here.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Massage and So On

Ok, I'm incredibly sore after my massage last night. Things are cracking and popping and feel stretched. OY! Sometimes I wonder why I keep going back. The day after is always bad. I can't wait until he gets all of the kinks worked out. Tonight will be a hot bath night. Hopefully.

I have to start cleaning the house tonight. The pest control company is coming on Saturday and I have to get everything up off the floor, vacuum and clean the tile and wood floors. Fun!

Tomorrow I have to go to Dallas. I have my pyschiatrist appointment which I forgot all about. I really really don't want to go! I just don't feel like talking about how I feel right now. I feel horrible... what else is there to say.

Well, I think that's all... lunch break is over, time to go back to work.

Long Time No Blog

Well, it's been a long time since I've blogged. A lot has happened since January. Since then, I've gone back to work (back in Jan.), Grace started Pre-K (Aug. 25th), Tim and I have separated again (about three weeks ago), and I got a new dog (Sept. 12th). I think that sums it all up. I'll blog about Grace and the new dog in their own blogs:

Am I ok with the separation? Well, it goes in waves. Most of the time I'm ok, but I have my moments. Saturday I started crying uncontrolably. Every now and then it just gets to me. Which I know is normal. I very much want my marriage to work, even after all we have been through.

I am working on some changes. I've started a diet and joined a gym. I'll be going to the gym for the first time on my way home today. I joined a couple of weeks ago but haven't been able to make it there. I'm also trying to get my house in order, which we'll be selling at the beginning of the year. Organization is TOUGH.

Work is work. With the separation I took a couple of weeks off to stabalize my emotions. It was much needed. I'm back to work this week, and boy is it a shock after two weeks of being off. Hopefully I get back into the swing of things soon.

I guess that's about it for now. I'll try to blog more often.

A Bleh Kind of Day

I picked Grace up from school on Wed, sick. Her doctor couldn't get her in so we took her to the urgent care place by our house. The Dr. thought she had strep, but the test came back negative. He gave us a prescription in case her temperature persisted, with the thought that it may very well be strep anyway. Turns out her temp. is sticking around so I got the prescription filled last night. This afternoon the temp. is finally going down. Now I'm starting to get a sore throat and feel bad. Yea! I don't have a fever so I'm hoping it's just from the drainage/allergies. Nothing is getting done today. I've been exhausted since I picked her up from school Wed. I didn't know taking care of a sick kid would drain you so much.

I had a DIY mishap earlier, I was trying to iron letters onto her school backpack and it went horribly wrong. Luckily I finally got them off with goo gone and a knife. I should have just bought the embroidered looking ones or had someone do it with an embroidering machine. I however was being too cheap and impatient. I'm so glad I got them off, it looked TERRIBLE! Even Tim was making fun of it.

I'm not sure what we're going to do the rest of the day, Tim is about to go to a wedding, Grace is sick, and I'm not only not feeling the best but am incredibly bored. Perhaps it's a movie night.

First Day Part I & II

First Day Part I

Well, today is my first day back to work, and Grace's first day at school. Grace loved it and jumped right in. She had her first accident while I was still there. It's a good thing we live right around the corner, because I could tell already that I was going to need to go back home and get more clothes. The other kids were nice about it though, thank goodness. She did NOT want me taking pictures of her. She did ask at one point where I was going to go and why, but didn't seem to pay too much attention to it. I cleaned my office, since it was a huge mess, and had toys all over it from one of the times mom watched her up here for me. Now it looks like a real office, lol. No more toys, well, ok, they're under my desk in case. Maybe I'll get bored and need play time.

First Day Part II

Ok, so 30-hour before it was time for me to leave work I started getting sad, and feeling guilty. I rushed out of there as soon as it hit 5. Well, I get there and Grace doesn't want to go. She wouldn't stop playing with the baby doll she was trying to feed a sandwich. So... she was yelling at me, oh JOY! Then on the way out she was all whiny about it. We had to wait to get her backpack (they issue ones), during which she calmed down, but then she didn't want to go. OY! I had to go to Target after and she was HORRIBLE (I think she was tired and hungry - won't be doing THAT again.) This will make tomorrow at work a little bit easier on me, lol. They said she didn't have any more accidents, which is GREAT! :) So, she had a good potty day and stayed clean and dry. Glad I went right home and got all those clothes, I think that gave us a little bit of good karma! Overall I guess it was a decent day. I'm glad she enjoyed school, and I'm glad I survived it without crying, just a little grumpiness and impatience.

I will post everything about Grace's part of the day on her blog.
